Biography
Franck Gérard Kom is a senior executive with more than two decades of experience spanning telecommunications, oil and gas, the public sector and IT consultancy. He most recently served as General Manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at MTN Cameroon, with full profit and loss accountability for solutions serving private and public sector enterprises.
He is recognised for successfully leading large-scale digital transformations, building and scaling digital and ICT solution portfolios, and fostering high-performance cultures. A servant-leader and multi-dimensional professional, he combines deep technical foundations in engineering, project management and IT service management with commercial acumen and strategic vision.
An active contributor to the project management profession in Africa, he was co-founder and then President of the PMI Cameroon Chapter. He is a past member of the PMI Africa working group and of the organising committee of the first ever PMI African conference, held in Johannesburg in 2015.
A computer science engineer from École Polytechnique de Yaoundé, he also holds executive education credentials from Wharton, Columbia Business School and Duke Corporate Education. He has spoken at PMI conferences, at the Tony Elumelu Foundation entrepreneurs forum and at TEDx Febe.
